Most tyre offers in the UAE fall into four types: buy 3 get 1 free, bank card cashback or instalments, seasonal discounts, and clearance on older stock. Each can save real money, typically 10–25% on a set, but each also has fine print around eligible sizes, DOT dates and what fitting includes. The simplest test is to ask for the total price of four tyres fitted, balanced and with old tyres disposed of, then compare that single figure against a normal quote. Buy 3 get 1 free tyres: do the maths first
A buy 3 get 1 free offer is a 25% discount on a set of four, but only against that seller's own list price. If the shop lists a mid-range 215/55 R17 at AED 440, you pay AED 1,320 for four, or AED 330 per tyre. If another seller sells the same tyre at AED 350 normally, four cost AED 1,400, so the offer saves AED 80, not the AED 440 the banner suggests.
These deals are also often limited to specific sizes or a single tread pattern the distributor wants to move, and sometimes exclude the popular SUV sizes like 265/65 R17. Ask which exact pattern and DOT year is included, and whether fitting and balancing are charged on all four tyres or only three.

- Confirm the exact pattern name and the DOT year of the free tyre as well as the paid three.
Bank card cashback and instalment offers
Card offers in the UAE usually take the form of 5–15% cashback credited weeks later, or 0% instalments over 3 to 12 months through the bank. Cashback is often capped, for example at a few hundred dirhams per card per month, and may need the offer to be registered in the bank app before you pay.
Instalment plans through banks can carry a processing fee that eats into the saving, so ask for the fee in writing. When tyre promotions usually appear in the UAE
Tyre promotions in the UAE cluster around a few predictable periods each year. If your tread is at 3 mm and the next season is a few weeks away, waiting can make sense; if you are at 1.6 mm, the legal minimum, or the sidewall is cracked, replace the tyres now.
- Ramadan: many retailers run promotions on sets of four and free checks before Eid road trips.
- Dubai Shopping Festival, December to January: discounts across car accessories and tyres.
- White Friday in November: online-heavy deals, often on selected brands and sizes.
- Summer safety campaigns, around June to August: free pressure and tread checks, sometimes with discounts on replacement.
Clearance offers and the DOT date
Clearance tyres are discounted because they are older, so the DOT date decides whether the deal is good. A tyre made 2 years ago at 30% off can still be a sensible buy, since most experts in this climate advise fitting tyres within about 2 years of manufacture and replacing them at around 5 years regardless of tread.
A tyre that is already 4 years old at purchase leaves you roughly 1 year of safe use in UAE heat, which makes even 40% off poor value. Read the last four digits of the DOT code: 0924 is week 9 of 2024, 4721 is week 47 of 2021. Ask for the date on WhatsApp before you agree, and check it again on the tyre itself before fitting.
What "free fitting" often leaves out, and how we quote
"Free fitting" frequently covers only mounting the tyre on the rim. Balancing, new valves, TPMS sensor servicing, nitrogen and disposal of the old tyres may each be charged separately, and together they can add AED 100–300 to a set of four.
