Wheel alignment in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah costs from AED 150 with 800 UAE Tyres and is carried out at our partner workshops in Al Quoz, Mussafah and Sharjah Industrial Area. Unlike our other services, alignment cannot be done from a van, because it needs a level alignment rig and camera system. We book the slot, and the car is usually ready in 45–75 minutes with a before-and-after printout.
What's included
- Booking at a partner workshop near you, at a time that suits you
- Pre-alignment check of tyre pressures, steering and suspension joints
- Computerised 3D camera measurement of camber, caster and toe on all four wheels
- Adjustment of front toe and, where adjustable, rear toe and camber
- Steering wheel centred
- Printed or digital before-and-after report
Signs you need it
- The car drifts left or right on a straight, flat road
- The steering wheel is off-centre when driving straight
- The inner or outer edge of a tyre is wearing faster than the rest
- You hit a kerb, deep pothole or speed bump hard
- You have just fitted new tyres or replaced steering or suspension parts
- The steering feels vague or does not return to centre after a turn
How the job runs
- Book through us. Message us with your car model and preferred area. We book the nearest partner workshop and confirm the time and price on WhatsApp.
- Drive in. Drive the car to the workshop. If you are also having new tyres fitted by us, we can fit them first at your location or at the workshop on the same visit.
- Measure and adjust. The car goes on the rig, targets are clamped to each wheel and cameras read the angles against the manufacturer's specification. The technician adjusts the tie rods and any other adjustable points.
- Report and road test. You get the before-and-after readings. A short road test confirms the car tracks straight with the wheel centred.
Why wheel alignment is done at a workshop, not at your door
We do almost everything at your location, but wheel alignment is the exception, and we would rather say so plainly. Accurate alignment needs the car standing on a level, calibrated platform with turntables under the front wheels, and a camera system that reads angles to a fraction of a degree. No van can carry that.
Some mobile operators offer string or laser alignment at the kerb. On an uneven driveway or a sloping basement floor, those readings can be off by more than the tolerance the car maker allows. The result can be a car that feels fine for a week and then wears a new set of tyres unevenly.
So we work with partner workshops in Al Quoz (Dubai), Mussafah (Abu Dhabi) and Sharjah Industrial Area that run modern 3D alignment rigs. We book, confirm the price and stay your point of contact.
What alignment actually adjusts
Wheel alignment sets three angles: toe, camber and caster. Toe is whether the front of each wheel points slightly in or out, and it causes most alignment-related tyre wear. Camber is the inward or outward tilt of the wheel seen from the front. Caster is the angle of the steering axis, which affects straight-line stability and how the wheel returns to centre.
On most cars only toe is adjustable at the front, plus rear toe and camber on cars with multi-link rear suspension, such as many Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Lexus and Nissan models. If camber or caster is out on a car where it is not adjustable, that usually points to a bent or worn suspension part, and the report will show it.
- Toe out of spec: feathered wear across the tread, fast wear overall
- Negative camber too high: inner edge wears first
- Positive camber too high: outer edge wears first
- Uneven caster side to side: car pulls toward the side with less caster
How UAE roads knock alignment out
The usual culprits in the UAE are speed bumps taken too fast, kerb strikes when parking in tight residential streets, and potholes on service roads and construction diversions. A single hard hit can shift toe enough to wear a tyre's inner edge down in 5,000–10,000 km.
Desert driving is another cause. Dune bashing loads the front suspension heavily, and lifted 4x4s with larger tyres often need alignment after the modification. Check alignment after any off-road weekend that involved a hard landing.
Many UAE roads are crowned for drainage, so a slight drift toward the kerb on some roads is normal. A car that pulls on a flat road such as a mall car park, or that needs constant correction on the highway, needs checking.
How often to align, and why it pays for itself
Have the alignment checked every 10,000–15,000 km or once a year, whenever you fit new tyres, and after any hard impact. At AED 150–250, it costs less than a single mid-range tyre, and a misaligned car can scrap a set of four in half their normal life.
Alignment does not fix vibration. If the steering wheel shakes at 100–120 km/h, the cause is usually wheel balance, which we do at your location. Many customers book both on the same day.
Pricing
Wheel alignment starts at AED 150 for most sedans and hatchbacks at a partner workshop. Large SUVs, 4x4s, cars with adjustable rear suspension, and vehicles needing a steering angle sensor reset are usually AED 200–300. If worn suspension parts prevent a correct alignment, the workshop quotes the repair separately and nothing is done without your approval.
