A tyre change at home with 800 UAE Tyres costs from AED 100 and covers fitting tyres you have already bought, online or from a shop, onto your rims where the car is parked. We also swap complete wheel sets, such as moving between road and off-road wheels. A technician brings a tyre machine and balancer, and four tyres take about 45–75 minutes.
What's included
- Fitting of customer-supplied tyres onto your existing rims
- Pre-fit check of the new tyres for size, load and speed rating, and DOT date
- Bead lubrication and seating with controlled inflation
- New valves on standard wheels; TPMS sensors transferred with care
- Computerised balancing with stick-on or clip-on weights to suit the rim
- Complete wheel-set swaps, with torque to specification
Signs you need it
- You bought tyres online and need them fitted
- You have a second set of wheels for desert trips or track days
- You want to change tyre type, for example from highway to all-terrain
- You are fitting tyres you took off another car you own
- Your tyres are due for replacement but you sourced them yourself
How the job runs
- Tell us what you have. Send a photo of the new tyres' sidewalls and of the car's current tyres. We check that the size and ratings match before booking, which avoids a wasted visit if the wrong tyres were delivered.
- Book a slot. Choose a time, including evenings and weekends, or ask for the next available technician. Keep the new tyres near the car so we can start straight away.
- Change and balance. Each wheel is removed, the old tyre comes off on the machine, the rim bead seat is cleaned, and the new tyre is mounted, inflated and balanced.
- Refit and check. Wheels are refitted and torqued, pressures set to the door placard, and the TPMS reset. We recommend a re-torque check after 50–100 km, which you can do at any tyre shop or ask us to do.
Tyre change at home for tyres you bought yourself
Yes, we fit tyres you buy elsewhere. Many UAE drivers order tyres from online marketplaces or wholesale shops and then struggle to find a workshop willing to fit them without selling the tyre too. Our tyre change service exists for exactly that case.
The fitting is identical to what we do with our own stock: the same machine, the same balancing and the same torque checks. The only difference is that we inspect the tyres before mounting and point out anything worth knowing, such as an old production date or a load index lower than the original.
If a tyre arrives damaged, for example with a crushed bead from poor packing, we will show you before fitting so you can return it to the seller. Once a tyre has been mounted, most sellers will not accept it back.
What to check before you buy tyres online
The three things to match are size, load index and speed rating, all printed on your current tyre and on the door-jamb placard. A listing for 225/45 R17 is not enough on its own; you also need the 94W or 91V that follows it.
Ask the seller for the DOT week and year before paying. Online prices that look unusually low are often for tyres that are two to four years old. In the UAE climate, a tyre that has already spent three years in a warehouse has lost a meaningful part of its useful life before it touches the road.
- Size: width, profile and rim, for example 235/55 R19
- Load index: equal or higher than the original
- Speed rating: equal or higher than the original
- XL or run-flat markings if your car came with them
- DOT date: ideally under 12 months, never over 24 months
Swapping wheel sets for desert, track or road
Some owners keep two sets of wheels: one on highway tyres for the daily commute and one on all-terrain or mud-terrain tyres for dune trips in Al Faya, Big Red or Liwa. Swapping a complete set takes 20–30 minutes because no tyres need to come off the rims.
When we swap sets, we check the stored set for flat spots, cracking and pressure loss, which is common if wheels have been kept in a hot garage or store room for months. TPMS sensors need relearning if the second set has its own sensors, and we handle that on site for most Toyota, Nissan, Lexus and Ford models.
Low-profile, run-flat and large 4x4 tyres
Low-profile and run-flat tyres need care when mounting, because their stiff sidewalls make it easy to scratch the rim or damage the bead. Our machines use plastic-protected heads and a helper arm for this reason, and we fit 18–22 inch performance tyres regularly on BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche models.
At the other end, large 4x4 tyres such as 285/70 R17 or 35-inch mud-terrains are heavy and need more bead seating pressure. Our vans handle rims up to 22 inches. For oversized off-road tyres beyond that, or beadlock wheels, we book you into a partner workshop.
Pricing
Tyre change at home starts at AED 100, covering the call-out and fitting with balancing. Pricing for four tyres on 19 inch rims and above, run-flats, or large 4x4 tyres is confirmed on WhatsApp first and is usually AED 160–300 for the set. Swapping complete wheel sets without changing tyres is quoted separately and is usually at the lower end.
