Toyota tyre change

Toyota is the best-selling car brand in the UAE, and the Land Cruiser, Prado, Camry, Corolla and Hilux make up a large share of the cars our technicians work on every day. Most Toyota SUVs here run 17–20 inch highway-terrain tyres that also see regular sand use.

What to know about Toyota tyres

  • Land Cruiser 300 and Prado placards call for around 33 psi; drop to 15–18 psi only for dunes and re-inflate before returning to the highway.
  • Hilux pick-ups that carry building materials or a full tray should use the higher rear pressure on the door placard, not the unladen figure.
  • Camry and Corolla owners usually get the best value from a mid-range touring tyre; ultra-high-performance tyres add noise and cost without a real benefit on these cars.
  • Toyota SUVs bought from GCC dealers often have TPMS sensors from 2018 onwards, so ask for the sensor to be checked when a tyre is changed.

    ★★★★★ Tyre replacement

    ★★★★★ Puncture repair

Screw in my rear tyre on a Monday morning in the JLT basement. Sent a photo on WhatsApp, they quoted AED 100, came down to P2 and plugged it from the inside in about 20 minutes. Didn't miss my 9:30 call.

    ★★★★★ New tyres

Needed 4 tyres for my Pajero before a trip to Hatta. They sent three options in different price levels, explained the load rating, and fitted Yokohama Geolandars outside my building. Balancing done on the van.

    ★★★★★ Tyre change

Flat on the school run. The technician fitted my spare, then came back the same evening with a new Michelin for my Range Rover and swapped it on the driveway. Paid with Tabby, which helped that month.

    ★★★★★ Tyre replacement

Run four Hiluxes for our company. They do the whole fleet in our yard after hours, so no vehicle is off the road during the day. Invoices with VAT come through on email the next morning.

    ★★★★★ Tyre pressure check

Low pressure warning on my Model 3. They came to the Marina Gate car park, checked all four, found a slow leak near the shoulder and told me honestly it was safer to replace. No upselling.

Two punctures in a week from construction debris near my building. Both times they came within 30 minutes. The second time they showed me the nail before fixing it.

FAQ

Questions people ask

What tyre size does my Toyota take?

It depends on the model and trim. Common Toyota sizes in the UAE include 265/65 R18, 265/55 R20, 265/65 R17, 205/65 R16. The exact size is printed on the tyre sidewall and on the placard inside the driver's door — send us a photo of either on WhatsApp and we'll confirm.

How much does a tyre change for a Toyota cost?

Fitting at your location starts from AED 100. Tyres for Toyota models typically start around AED 170 each and rise with rim size and brand. We quote two or three brand options for your exact size before we drive out.

Can you change Toyota tyres at home or in a basement?

Yes. Our vans carry a tyre changer, balancer and low-profile jacks, so the job is done at your villa, building car park or office, 24 hours a day across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

Flat right now? Send us a photo.
